I should be going home Friday from a flap revision & flap redo, surgeon says they look good. then another month in bed healing, b4 getting up a few hours a day, till getting up all day again. now i have another issue, when i came to the hospital, my nursing home cleaned out my room & put my stuff in storage. it pisses me off since i pay for internet & phone in my room, flat screen on wall & shelves screwed to wall. then as fate would show my bad luck again, there was a sewage leak in building causing a no new resident admittance in building. a friend died this morning & they said they'll save me his bigger room by paying a bed hold. i dont know when i'll get in.

PISSED OFF

TT you seem to have had some bad luck running for a bit now! Sorry to hear about your friend and your room.. They sound like quite an insensitive bunch at your nursing home!

I'm glad your surgery is healing well! At least that bit of good news makes up for the rest!

Hi TT

Good to hear your surgery seems to be healing well and that you will soon be home.

As for the other rubbish that's going on right now in your life try and stay positive. I know it's easy to say and hard to do.

I know I'm not the only one here who wishes you well. :)

I am so glad your surgery is healing. Wish the other stuff would just go away. Why do people have to make things more difficult? Hope it all gets worked out soon.

Glad to hear your getting out, sorry about your friend and the other BS. Where are you staying if you can't go to the nursing home?

OK TT - your turn for the good news fairy to appear and give you happy times (alright its GB in clara's tights and with christmas tinsel on his head) but as Smiley knows - all that bad luck cant happen to one person so it really is your turn for good things to happen.

hope you get sorted very soon
take care

Your definately right, it is time for some good news, i'm tired of all the bad, its been going on for way to long. if i was to leave here & dont have my room ready, they'll want me to go to a sister facility about An hour or so away, or just find a new place to leave. i know i cant, but sometimes i just want to give up, just tired off all the :poo:, but i got to keep on going for my famiy & close friends

thank u all for your thoughts

TT- You will get a place. You already know how things are done in nursing Homes. They are not homes, but institutions run for their own benefit. It is a tough way to live but , heck, if you didn't have this you wouldneed a girlfriend to get some drama in your life.

Maybe you should google ''making good luck happen''. I think there is one about throwing salt across your shoulder. I've always just made mine happen. What about making some ''bad luck NOT allowed'' signs?

You can only go so far down before things have to start getting better. Positive vipes are now flowing your way. No more negative thoughts or actions allowed.

Sometimes bad things happen to make room for something good to enter. This just happened to me so I know it can happen for you.

Who knows your new room may be bigger or have a better view ....good things ARE coming your way! Think ONLY positive thoughts.

Good to hear that things are going well with wound - enough so that they are going to let you get out of the hospital.

Sorry to hear about the housing problems. Will put you on my prayer list and hope that things get figured out quickly so you can get back to where you were comfortable.

Take it easy and try not to rush the wounds too fast. I am fighting the "starting to get back up" frustration. Going well - up for 1 1/2 hour this morning and no problems. So will increase time every few days now. Hope you are able to do the same.

Take care, friend - and take it easy! :tease:

I just got the word from my Dr, he's gonna let me out on tuesday. he pulled out the drainage tubes, & tomorrow all stitches & staples come out. he does want me in bed for at least another month when i get back home. i have a new room at the nursing home when i get there & it'll be a little bigger. there's a hole in the hallway right in front of the door where they're fixing the sewer pipe. Now its just hurry up & wait.
