I am redoing my place so it is a good time to upgrade wiring etc. It is a 1050 sq/ft 35 year old house and I plan on adding a power front door and probably power drapes in the bedroom. Thinking about setting up cameras to view external sites on the property as well. Input is appreciated as Amy and I are currently figuring out details for it to be done this winter. Thanx Bruce

What I find usefull are light switches with sensors. When I come in the house they go on and I don't have to worry about not having a hand available. Also if you plan on having a ceiling fan in the bedroom you can get a remote to work it from bed. Mine also controls the lights. In the fan junction box, instead of having it wired to a fan light I had it wired to recessed lights. Good luck on your project.
