Hi..
Here in the u.k we are enjoying this lovely spell of hot weather but it can have a downside...
My husband c5/6 has been taking some high strength antibiotics and is half way through the course in preparation for an operation...
We were travelling to the spinal unit ..early start..(150 mile drive)..when he started to feel bad...any way to cut a very long storyshort(paramedic, ambulance, being taken to a hospital between home and unit ) I finally got them to take him to the unit by ambulance.
My point is that my husband has beenin a chair for 30yrs+ and we thought we had it sussed...however "they " didn't tell him that those particular antibiotics should be taken with a a pint of water and also to up the fluid intake in general..so the conbination of that ,the early start and the heat made him dehydrate rapidly..I should add that our vehicle has air-conditioning which was full on!!
So guys..enjoy the weather..but keep safe.
Lora

Sensible advice, here in Portugal its even hotter. One suggestion for drugs is get yourself a BNF (British National Formulary) or Mims guide, all doctors have them, they give the dosages, usages, side effects of all drugs. You would believe how often the full instructions arent given when the doc prescribes them.
