So....again here I am waiting for an mri scan for results....it aint a pretty reason why I'm being send for one.

so.....

1. I look into what these conditions that are suspected may mean.

2. I look at how people cope..good ways and not so good ways.

3. If then I am diagnosed with that worst case scenerio I already have an action plan how I can get around coping.

4. I put it to the back of me mind, take necessary precaution (i.e. not cotton wool treatment just if it hurts, dont do it)

5. I do get waves of panic and think 'what if i do have bad results..how the ###### would i cope with that, then remember 'well i do already, i'm living with it now'.

6. I get these weird sci stuff and remember, ok I'm told mine is a bad case as its the t-spine yet hey, theres so many of you here in way worse sci conditions than mine..even if the cord damage aint as bad as others nasty bladder infections for example are as bad as normal sci stuff anyday - and still, you all cope thorough it. To me..just living thorough it warrents a gold star.

7. Ok i could loose more function....yet you lot on here still have a life, even if i loose use of arms in 30 years time..theres voice recognition stuff, look at that famous lady with no arms or legs, she had a baby and is an artist.

8. Yeah i miss me legs and arm strength/function...I miss doing hors riding...then again I miss wearing 6 inch heels and having shiney white teeth, in me shallower-younger days, I thought being in me mid 30s meant life ended anyway..to be honest even with sci its better than what i predicted for meself in them younger years :lmao:

8a I often thought....oh me gosh..i never want to be one of those mams who sit there on the side lines, drinking coffee gossiping as their kids go off and have fun on the snow toboggans...well I dont now..I still avoid them like the plague and wheel meself right up to the window and watch them having a great fun time...just seeing them have fun brings me to life and happy.

9. And finally...its ONLY a test to see IF theres something wrong...not there is definatley something wrong, so I'll deal with stuff IF it happens, until then I'm gonna enjoy living in ignorance is bliss...because I know I will miss these days i have now,so i will live them the best i can..and have something worth missing in the future.

Broken record time...thanks all for helping it possible for me to think this way :help:

its what i used to tell the patients waiting for cancer results when i was at work,....and also AB friends...whom come to me going 'how the ###### do ya cope', not just in relation to illness..in relation to their problems like... 'is he having an affair'..'will i get the sack in the recession'....'will i still fit into last years party dress in 3 months time on this diet, I', m too skint to afford a new one'

i is 'auntie cloud', spent me whole life ###### stuff up, getting out of pickles, living life by the skin of me teeth (thats why they are falling out..(nothing to do with smoking and meds :seehearspeak: :D ) I only get asked because I got the bottle to admit me mistakes, dont like too - just i'm a rbbish liar especially on meds so i just tell the truth :wheelchair:

i aint thinking its ok, tis is all back catalogue stuff with a new sci survival twist, ideas i got off you lot...you lot are me 'aunties'

now thinking....for me is....how do i get to cornwall one day...how to i get adrenelin rushes on me mobility scooter...how to i find a master foot massager who looks like dave grohl but not spend the whole time being red...how can i get more time to listen to even more new music....think, think, think, think, think..... :help:

oooo i got asked to be a model to promote looking good in a chair...i'm thinking i could be a model for using a 'she whizz' or a commode too..i'm just practising me 'catalogue model poses' so i can give it a 1980s twist and make it look really cheesy because i cant be a model, because i'm too shy and sexy would look silly on me..... what do you think of this pose..i'm thinking water/sea background to set the artist atmosphere.... :lmao: i could double it up as a pregnancy model too...seeing as i got a wheelchair tummy too that looks like i'm 20 months pregnant now when i slump in me chair  :D

Thanks clara, your a cool hunny, i'll keep ya posted

Out of the gloom a voice said unto me, "Smile and be happy, things could be worse." So I smiled and was happy and behold things did get worse.

Hope all goes well with your results!

For certain things my method in life is brute force and ignorance, usually when it comes to results the ignorance part comes in very handy! My way of coping (maybe not the best) is to try keep myself as occupied as possible and ignore any thoughts of what could be wrong or what could happen, its difficult to do but after a while I found it became easier.

Fingers crossed all is well

We're probably all Fruit and Nut on the inside, ok, maybe a few of use have a few more nuts than others, however, the wrapper we choose does tend to project to others where we want to be in life.

I think that makes sense!

Don't worry about the things you have no control over, plan for the future you can shape for yourself.

Simon. :)

Luckily the Bradgate Park part of my fundraising challenges is only 3.7 miles (6km) and after 22 miles swimming it'll be a.... walk in the park? I'm already starting to wonder what I'll do next! Not good!!

But you have yourself a bet. I'll be doing the swim and the walk and by gods will we be demanding a postcard from Cornwall from you :D !!

Trouble is... I quite fancy some fruit and nut chocolate now!
