But it wasn't his first choice in recommending treatments to me. He wants my to take yet another pill that really has adverse effects on my sleep and I don't like the idea of my bladder not having something of an overflow valve. My whole urological system isn't playing fair with me anymore. It did for years; I just used a very large leg bag and drank anything I wanted anytime, anywhere. It see,s Im losing all my youthful talents. :)

They also say D-Mannose for e-coli infections (80-90% of all infections).. I'm trying it at the moment..

I'm also using Vetericyn/Microcyn/Puracyn, injected into the bladder daily, as a rinse.. If you do a search you'll find quite a few threads with plenty of cumulative information..
What's important is not what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us..

God gave us two ends, one to think with, n one to sit on.. Success depends on which one u use.. Heads u win, tails u lose..

I'm on 50mg of Nitrofurantonin (spelling?) anti biotic nightly, seems to do the trick. I also take 3grams of Vitamins C during the day.

Ditto to the 50mg of nitrofurantonin (aka macrodantin). I still get UTI's every handful of months, but I'm pretty sure I'd be in a constant state of infection if I didn't take the daily
