I just got back from my Dr's office & he wants me in bed another 6 weeks & then see him again.Theres a superficial area he wants to make sure the skin surface is completely healed as well, as to not spread open, which is understandable. i've been fighting these sores a year & 8 months now, so i guess i can go 6 more weeks.

Sorry to hear that you'll be in bed again for another six weeks, man. It sure sucks that it takes so long for them to heal. I've got one that I've been dealing with for a year now, slowly very slowly getting better. Hang in there buddy!

Six weeks may seem like a long time, but its nothing in the big scheme of things.. Just look at everything you've already got through..

I will keep you in my prayers. Being in bed sucks. When I was preto with my youngest child I was blessed to stay in bed for 20 weeks she wa s every anxious to join the crazy world so I did everything I could to stay preto with her. It's not quite the same as with Sci injuries but I understand.

would the hyperbaric chamber help heal wounds faster? i just asked my friend that yesterday and he never even heard of it!! TT good luck bro hope you heal up quick!!

I think you and I belong to the same club!! Sorry you have to stay down so much longer. I am going on 19 months now healing this sore of mine. Started getting up but after a few days, have had set back and this time, small opening turned into a larger opening. So I am back in bed for a couple of more weeks at least. Then will try it again.
Stay positive. I usually have a day or two of pity party then get back to thinking positively. Will keep you in my prayers as well.

Six more weeks stinks, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. These wounds that are so difficult to heal were unknown to me until SCI. I'd bet most able bodies don't have a clue about what a pronlem these are.
