Hey everyone!! My name is Ryan Eder, I am an Industrial Designer with a passion for fitness. My recent project was a response to the staggering fact that 94% of gyms do not offer wheelchair accessbile equipment. Due to this ridiculous situation, I designed the Freemotion Access.

This machine is meant to be put into public gyms and offer an equal workout for everyone. This isn't a machine that is made just for quads, or just for paras. This is a machine that everyone, able-bodied users included, can enjoy. This machine puts everyone on an equal playing field and eliminates the current segregation of users.
Not only does this machine offer many new functions and exercises, 8 times more than the current machines that have this configuration, they also offer a new aesthetic appeal. So everyone looks at this machine, and would want to use it. Also, everyone, no matter what SCI level, can use this machine independently! No relying on others!
I am posting this to get your feedback and to also see how many people would be willing to sign an online petition and get testimonies on who would enjoy this product. There is strong need for these in current gyms and I want to push this concept into reality. But I can't do it without support and excitement surrounding the product. So here is it, for more information, email me at Ryan.Eder@gmail.com

I would love to discuss it further with you. So here is the link to the product, please speak whats on your mind about the situation, the product, and what should be done.

Thank you for your time, Take Care!!

It looks pretty cool! Are there multiple excercises that can be done?

Can the machine allow more exercises than the Uppertone?

Can the weights and settings be adjusted by a C5/6 quad without assistance as the Uppertone can be?

Exactly what muscle groups, and what exercises can be done?

Thanks

Simon

There are literally hundreds of exercises available, if you would like, I can send you a file via email that explains it all. But those arms articulate up and down and the little piece of the arms travel along the arms... the amount of exercises is only limited to your imagination

Hey Simon,

The machine offers over 10x more exercises than the uppertone. Plus, all weight transitions are available through the use of push buttons, just like elevator buttons. This eliminates any need for dexterity.

If interest, shoot me an email at ryan.eder@gmail.com and I can send you the entire presentation.

As this was posted in 2006,,,, five years ago,,, I wonder if Evan got it off the ground. It appears to be a well thought out design,,,, I would love to get an update.
