I was first directed here by a friend of mine who is also a member, and have been lurking for a while, but have decided to step out from the shadows
I don't have an SCI in the usual sense (if indeed there is one!), but instead have SB in the lumbar region as well as a condition called diastematomyelia, which basically means my spinal cord is split into two separate hemicords by a bony spur, which also tethers the cord. I also have some pretty strange vertebral anomalies and kyphoscoliosis deformity. I don't have full paraplegia but have various parts that don't work so well, the most annoying of all being the bladder and bowel! I am currently waiting on some more spinal surgery as i'm in a lot of pain and have been for years, so am on a ton of painkillers.
Oh, and i'm 29 and from Norwich, UK.
Just wanted to say hi and look forward to joining in with this community
