Hello all,

After dispairing with Peristeen. Balloons popping. Catheter coming out inflated, etc, etc, etc. Read previous posts about all OUR problems!

I have been using the Qufora Anal Irrigation system.

http://www.manfredsa... system dfu.pdf

Works far easier. No ballons to pop or push out.

Still not got it quite right yet but if your using Peristeen I would really consider trying this out.

More in the near future.
Life is just to short not to have fun!

Here is more about this system http://www.mbh-inter...ct_Sheet_UK.pdf

I have not used it myself but it works the same way, in principle, as an anal douche.

It just has a larger water reservoir. That being the case, maybe an anal douche would be a cheaper alternative than either system if you are able to sit on a toilet and have within reach a basin for refilling.. They only seem to be available from sex toy stores but I doubt many here who might benefit from one would be put off by that minor detail.

ADDED: I am fortunate in that I only need the douche to clean up. Having a bidet makes using the douche easier by accessing from the front between my legs. I think it would be very difficult to use if approaching the bullseye from the rear especially if, like me, you have a long body and short arms!

Ohh, that actually looks less fussy than Peristeen - I wonder why it's not so well known? I still think i'd have a problem with my muscles not holding onto enough water to properly clear my colon, as I do with Peristeen, but it's good to know there is an alternative. I really wish there was some way I could be turned upside down while irrigating as I reckon that would be the only way I could stop the water leaking out too soon!
