Just wanted to give a little update, my parents were (suprisingly) agreeing to the weed option. haha my mom said anything to keep me off baclofen, she said she would rather me take something whenever I need it instead of everyday because I have to. BUT since weed is not legal in the state I live, I decided to go for a more legal approach right now (due to college and trying to find a job, never know when you'll have to take a piss test!) and I got started on Zanaflex today. The part where the doctor told me I might start hallucinating SLIGHTLY worried me, lol but I start it once at night, so I might just have really interesting dreams, who knows (:
Holy shit man, lol....

The one and only time I ever came home with the marijuana, my lil 5'4" Catholic Kindergarten teachin' mom whupped my 6'5" 250 pound ass. You want Tim Howard to come have a talk with your parents? Haha....

HAHA! I could only picture that... and I was suprised too! I dont think weed and livestock mix well together either... so that choice is on the back burner. Thats why I talked to a different doctor today about if there was anything else to try. She explained a bunch of choices, along with their side effects and everything, unlike the first doctor who told me baclofen was the only option.

Does anyone have information or experience of taking magnesium chloride for spasms, particulary abdominal spasms that I have very often. A friend of mine suggested me that it could me much more effective than medication I usualy take (Sirdalud). I have not managed to find any relevant information.

hows the new meds?
i dont take aything for spacticty/ tone.
but i do excerise my legs/ abes every day. i go twice a week to pushing boundries, use a stander frame once a day, and have a ems machine to build/ keep muscle in the lower half, doing all this keeps the spasms to a bare minumim.

hope it helps
i may be paralized but iam still crazier and faster than half the people i know who ride quads or dirtbikes.
who cares what other people think!!!

Spasms have decreased a lot. However hey got to the severity where they were pulling me out of my chair and would flip me backwards if I lifted up and also would trigger just pushing let alone turning. I ended up falling enough times my parents told on me and the doctors told me that I was causing more damage to myself and increasing the risk of breaking something, so I either needed to start taking something or get a pump. I am totally against getting a pump (personal reasons) so I started on low doses of Zanaflex. I now take 8 mg twice a day, which is still relatively low. but mixed with streching, and fes (electrical stimulation) my spasms are now very tolerable.
