I hate the regular push/pull hand controls. I came across this:

http://www.kempf-usa...escription.html

and it looks so amazing. Has anyone used this product or something similar? Opinions?

Thanks :)

I tried a Guidosimplex version some years ago and was very impressed with it and could easily have lived with it. Only downside was the price due to having to replace the steering wheel. The guy selling it put me off though when he insisted all push/pull handcontrols were dangerous as part of his sales patter.

This looks nice. A cousin of racing control systems.

I use a push brake with a rotator accelerator (like a motor bike) and like it very much.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

Everyone that does assessments in my area recommends the push/pull. Nowhere teaches how to use an accelerator ring. I think it is due to the fact no business supplies them/installs them. The closest place is in California. I'd totally drive 13 hours to get it done though! The only problem is that I am such a newbie to driving, and I'm learning with the push/pull, I don't think the person who helps me drive will sign off on getting the accelerator ring. Even if it was up to me, I don't really have anyone to teach me... unless the people who are helping me drive will try and help me learn how to use it.

I really want this! Haha. :)

Beauty, This is a nice set-up, but pricey. I checked into it and they'll come get your car, install, and return your vehicle at no charge. The only thing, They quoted me $13,000 for package. I think there's another simular product by EMS. mark

I'm on my third set of Guido Simplex centre ring accelerator conversions - much prefer it to push pull but it does cost - about £2,500 in the UK. But Access to work will pay for it :)

$13,000?! JEEZ. My hand controls were quoted at $3,000. I don't want them to be that expensive! Haha.

I saw those online! I just read about the Kempf ones first, so I had my eye on them. The GuidoSimplex ones look great too. Question, why have you had them 3 times? Is it because you got a new car or something other? Or is it because it breaks down after a while?

$13,000. Really.
Who on earth would buy that? My push brake twist accelerator cost $800 installed 2 years ago.

Pat, are you talking about the hand controls that is just one control? Like this: http://suregrip-hvl....push-twist.html ?

LoL - no on three separate cars - a Saab, a Volvo and a Jaguar.

Sorry, what do you mean by access to work? Is it a UK term? Lol. Does it mean like, you bought them by working? Haha, I feel like a dummy!

Access to Work is a UK government scheme that pays for specialist equipment needed by disabled workers to do their job.

Beautiful,

Thank you for the accelerator ring reference - the device was unknown here prior to your post.
