How do quads open garden gates? We have two wooden gates that need a latch that can be opened up on either side independently by a C5/6 quad. If anyone has any brilliant ideas or pictures of their gate latches it would be much appreciated :)

I'm not a quad so maybe I shouldn't post anything, but could you use the same principles for any other kind of adapted latch. Like, could you get a latch that unhooks by pulling down on it, and then attacking a string or rope loop that you could slip your arm through? Just an idea!

Why does the gate need to be latched? Animals, kids? What kind of fence?
Magnets could work or centering spring hinges. There is a system for dog and cat doors. The critter where's a collar, when they get near the dog door it senses the collar and unlatches the door. Dog/cat go through, when they get a few feet away the door locks. Might be able to put the sender on the chair. I don't know how everyone else would get in though, unless they had a sending unit.

Well the gate is there cause of our pooch and its a wooden slat type fence, i have looke into the critter collars but i would prefer something much simpler as we live out of town a bit and to me simpler = less likely to break. now i have come across http://www.ddtechglo...et_style_gates/ and i think that something similar would work. if anyone has pictures of something similar i would be very appreciative if you could please post it
