I've lived in several cities over the years and each time I move I go through the same thing: Trying to find an accessible apartment with a roll-in shower. What I thought I'd do is start a public map on google that lists all the places everyone has ever stayed that has a roll-in shower. I've already added my previous 3 places and I want you all to add yours. I encourage everyone to contribute! If we all help out we can get this thing really populated! Adding a spot is really easy if you have a gmail account, and if you don't have a gmail account you can make one pretty easily (its free).

To view the map:
http://maps.google.c...f999441bb92ba26

Instructions for adding a spot:
1) Sign into gmail/google
2) Go to http://maps.google.c...f999441bb92ba26
3) On the left hand side click on "Save to My Places"
4) Enter an address of a place w/ a roll-in shower
5) Click on the tear drop bubble
6) When the menu comes up click the "Save to map" link and select the map "Places w/ roll-in showers"

(See pic for clarification)

Great idea! I'm sure that would be a great help to others. I've always lived in a house since my injury and never even thought about it.

ummmm, not sure what happened. But the address you listed most certainly DOES have a roll-in shower. I think I would know because I'm living there now! Ha, ha! But not for long, I'll be moving out next week. Maybe the error was my fault because I noticed I made a mistake on the apt # (should be 13107). But regardless of the number, management should be aware of what's on the property. Ughh, the management completely changed about a year ago, and the original management who started here has long since gone, so maybe that's what happened. But while it is small, it's definitely a roll-in so whoever you talked to apparently doesn't know about it.

Actually I remember getting a call from management on Sunday around 1:00. I couldn't get to the phone and they didn't leave a message so I figured it wasn't important. I thought of it odd getting the call on a Sunday, but now I see they may have been asking me for details. Either that or telling me to stop listing their addresses on the net all willy-nilly-like.
