Hi Kam. I would welcome you to the forum but I notice you have been here a lot longer than I. A true Lurker.
I'm sorry but I do not have any information on the cushion but my reply will push this topic up to the top where it may get a more intelligent response.
Alternatively, try posting in this more appropriate section.

Hi,

I've got the contoured stimulite cushion. Best cushion I ever had. I don't know how much it differs from the smart cushion though.

ThomasR,
Wat do you like about your cushion?
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

Well, I like it for the simple reason that I never had any pressure sore since I got that cushion. And it has been a couple of years now.

kam,

Regarding "... the Stimulite® Smart Cushion ..." - it is essentially a Stimulite Sport with the upper portion of the cushion's thickness being Supracor's XS layer. If you are unfamiliar with the Stimulite Sport model; the Sport is similar to the Stimulite Classic, but the Sport is approximately 0.75 inches thinner than the Classic.

Mellow Gator has sat on one for 10 years and is happy with it.

Tetracyclone,

Regarding "Mellow Gator has sat on one for 10 years and is happy with it."

It may be that you mean she - Mellow Gator - has used a Stimulite cushion for 10 years. The Stimulite Smart cushion did not exist 10 years ago.

tetra is right. i've used the stimulite classic for the last 10 years. it's super light weight and cleaning it is a snap and i've never had a sore and i don't have to worry about exploding gel or air levels.

i highly recommend it.

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!
