Yes! Yes, yes, yes!! This is the kind of thing; the kind of organized action, I have been looking for for so long. This is part of what I believe needs to be a quest, hell, even a revolution for true equality; in all aspects of humanity; for those who use wheelchairs. You have a fierce ally here who is ready and willing to help in any way that I can.

I've been doing everything I can to up the exposure of this petition by circulating it on FB and having everyone there do the same (as well as having them sign it). But I must admit, something seems off with the fact that there are so few signatures on a national petition that has been circulating for so long. I don't get it. My signature was only the eigth.

10--9--8--7--6--5--now 4 days remain to show your support. Are you happy with the current Handicapped Parking system? I think not! Do you believe that nothing is going to improve the Handicapped Parking system; that people are crazy and just don't care anymore? That's claiming defeat! FYI the ADA Regulations for Handicapped Parking are flawed, and must be changed to protect the civil rights of people with disabilities needing to offload wheelchairs! Do you need convincing about "protecting the civil rights?" Neglect is a form of discrimination. I assure you that millions of people with disabilities requiring wheelchairs experience discrimination nearly every time they leave home and try to find a place to park and offload. Now that's messed-up! I refuse to quit because there aren't 25,000 signatures! I refuse to quit because I wrote feedback to "We the People/White House" three times about a glitch on the web page that keeps some people from registering to sign my petition--and got no answer! Please read and sign the petition for an Executive Order to Reform Handicapped Parking Regulations! http://wh.gov/Tfv

The "We the People/The White House" petition was given 30 days to receive 25,000 signatures, and ended on November 25, 2011. The website link assigned to the petition by the new "We the People" platform was faulty (due to web design glitches), and I continually received complaints from people that they could not access the petition to read and sign. There were only 57 signatures on the petition by the deadline. Handicapped Parking Reforms in America is too important a cause for a 30-day political game. Lesson learned. Now on to better management in campaigning for Handicapped Parking Reforms! In order to build our organization we need to draw members from all over America. We need you! Soooo glad that THIS link worked!
For what it is worth I did fill it out AND I put the fallowing in the comments section.

I use a manual wheelchair due to an accident I had at age 14 that broke my back & dislocated my neck. I can not count how many times I have tried to go out & eat with friends and/or family or go out shopping only to find that every disabled parking place is used & most often by people who do not have disabled plates or placard! Although my friends/family CAN & has set my chair up in the road letting me out behind the other vehicles using those disabled parking spots....it is DANGEROUS not only to us & our vehicle but also to other pedestrians who go around our car & therefore are obstructed from view of passing vehicles (raises other people's chances of being hit by passing vehicles). I would LOVE to see more enforcement of disabled parking privileges; people who do not have ANY disabled parking badges whatsoever would stop abusing those spaces if they got caught & fined for it more often, those who "borrow" a placard from a member of their family need to get caught & "educated" on what that does to those of us who ARE DISABLED, & those who go get black-market parking placards should be fined AND jailed AND have their car impounded.....they've committed FRAUD! Better enforcement of parking privileges would help the economy; disabled people who CAN park WILL spend their $ disabled people who could NOT park WILL NOT SPEND $, the fines generated by violators would help each & everyone of the local municipalities that also have disabled/elderly citizens....I think that's just about every city in America!

Sometimes pointing out how something not only benefits you but ALSO THEM will be just the push needed between someone doing something "for you" or not.

Check-out all of the federal government websites, and press releases, and you will find that Handicapped Parking reforms is an absent category/topic. This is an outrage because the parking needs of people with disabilities have been by-passed for decades! If you're fed-up with the Handicapped Parking system in America, we need you to become a member of this organization, and demonstrate that the AAEHPA contains supporters from all over the USA! http://aaehpa.org
