Does anyone have any interesting dreams?

lately I've been having some funky dreams, a week ago I was in an audience with my grandma listening to Mitt Romney Speak. And last night I was riding around :th_driving1: with all my friends and guess who was sitting shotgun... Rick Perry in a suit and everything. I asked him a few questions He didn't really give me a straight forward answer. (figures) then we stopped at Walmart and I thought to myself I bet he's going to walk around the store campaigning while he's here. Sure enough i saw him in the arcade donating a quarter to a little girl who wanted to play pacman. What in the world? I don't even like Rick Perry or Mitt Romney! why am i hanging out with them in my dreams! What's next? Pizza with Herman Cain?

What's a bizarre/Interesting/Good dream you've had?
Has anyone Experienced a Lucid dream? (a dream where you become aware that you are dreaming and can actively participate in and control experiences in the dream environment.)

Hi Lucid Dreamer,

I've experienced a lot of lucid dreams in the past. I used to be very aware of my dreams before my injury and I did not sleep well back then, unlike now. I have become aware of my dreams more recently but I don't know whether that is because I am stressed or whether it is because my brain is healing/healed (I had a brain injury too).

I have a recurring nightmare where I participate in the dream and it is really unpleasant and I wake up feeling bruised and battered as well as scared.

Dream analysers look at symbols and themes within the dreams. All that aside; when I have this type of dream or a dream I remember it does fascinate me.

Many meds such as opiates, bacoflen, anti-deppressants and beta-blockers, etc. can cause intense, vivid, bizzare dreams..I have them every once in a while, but mark it up to meds or stress...Funny thing: since my sex drive has been reduced to near-nil due to injury induced body changes, age etc I never have sexual dreams anymore..darn it...I had a dream the other night where I was hiking in the mountains checking out the flora and fauna when suddenly I remembered I couldn't walk for shi* and fell flat on my ass..But, fortunatly a kindly moose came by, knelt down and I mounted the thing and it took me back to safety...that was weird..Used to have PTSD nightmares but they have mostly gone away...They made life disturbing for days afterwards..

I have very odd dreams, put down to having a very odd imagination when I'm awake.
But on Saturday I woke up yelling because I'd put the baby down on the bed and it had been swallowed by the blanket. Which was odd. I can tell you that the bedding was a dark purple colour if that means anything! (Which isn't as impressive as the time I yelled at my boyfriend that he wasn't to let our daughter take dance classes with the tranvestite ballet dancer, but still quite disturbing in its own little way).

my dreams scare the sh*t outta me coz usually the Lucid ones come true.....

the weirdest reoccuring dream that never came true... was one when I was a fairly young lass back in the 80s when being a Tom Cruse Top Gun Fan was cool.
tony-scott-top-gun.jpg

I dont kno how it started...

I find myself in some weird amusement park and there's a Rapunzel style tower full of all different colour balloons. the idea was to jump from the top off the tower through the middle of all balloons to the bottom exit.... sorta like Charlie n the choc factory after drinking floating soda, burping and floating down thru the bubbles after the close encounter with the fan... nice n fun.

(my fave movie for yrs was the original Gene Wilder Charlie n the Chocolate Factory)

So its my turn, I'm at the top of the tower, I jump into the balloons like a ballpit at kidzone.... the balloons dont seem to slow my descent and in a rush of colour I hit the bottom.

Next thing I know I'm in the hospital ER wandering halls with a broken arm looking for my family... wondering why my family isnt there for support feeling hurt dazed and confused....
Tom Cruise walks up putting his arm around me and says "u ok sweetie? lets go home" and wouldnt ya believe it... Tom Crusie is my Dad come to collect me from hospital...
hahahahahaha even in my dream I was like whoa.... this is awesome.... then i'd wake up.... I had this dream dozens of times over many years

those were the good ol' 80s... when dad was my Hero and Tom Cruise wasnt a weirdo.

its not till now... much later in life.... see many odd things about having a dream such as this :(

Wow, what a kind moose. when im dreaming i usually walk. The people in my dreams try to tell me its odd that im walking but i usually ignore them.. but when i listen to them it all comes together and triggers a lucid dream. I've noticed that opiates give me pretty vivid dreams and the content of my sexual dreams are really different now too. Still fun though haha

That's pretty bizzare. Tom Cruise to the rescue!! haha, I haven't experienced many reoccurring dreams, i have had a reoccurring theme i guess. in a lot of my dreams i will lose a tooth. I don't know why but I hope that's not foreshadowing

I've had quite a few dreams where I'm an animal of some sort; a horse running with my herd, a monkey swinging through the trees on vines, a bird soaring with my flock, or a dolphin swimming with my pod. The similarities between all of them that I can pick out is that they (they animals I become) are always freed by their motion whereas in many ways I'm somewhat trapped by lack of motion, they always seem to be social animals & they run/swim/fly with their perspective groups which tend to be "friends & family" to the individuals of those groups.

I still have lots of dreams where I'm doing those things I USED TO DO.....OR am doing those things I'd liked to have done.

Funny that Broc mentioned the brain injury....during the 1st yr or 2 after my accident I didn't have ANY dreams.....for a time night-time became a void.....I'd always been a dreamer before I got hurt & would consider myself to be one now. I don't know if it was the brain being "out of whack" or the anti-seizure meds I used to take but I'm glad that the dreams are back.

@ Conez...Top Gun is the reason my nickname is Goose! And the orginal Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was my favorite childhood movie.

I have reoccurring dreams where I go to take a test and I don't have a clue to 1 answer on the test. I'm totally clueless. Another similar one...I'm ready to graduate but realize I didn't read the 500 page book so there is NO way to do a report and turn it in within the hour. Even more...I realize I didn't attend 1` class all year and wonder IF the teacher noticed not to mention that I didn't turn in any homework or take 1 test. I always wake up in total panic mode.

As for lucid dreams, they're always sexual and needs no explanation except WILD!

Hi all,

I have really strange dreams where I am flying. I am a T9/10 incomplete with a little movement in my legs, in which I have excruciating nerve pain. In my dreams, my legs are the power of how I am flying, kind of like Ironman. I am flying through hallways, construction zones, all over town, but when I try to land, complete crash and burn! And the weirdest thing, when I wake up, my legs hurt so bad, I mean worse than normal. I have been paralyzed for almost 4 years and used to have these dreams all of the time, but haven't had one recently. I have some other weird dreams but the flying one is the dream I have the most. Over and over again.
Why tiptoe through life to arrive safely at death?
