I need to get my son new black, smart pants (business style) and I'm looking for something easier for him than standard ones. He is in men's size (about 32 x 32). He's an incomplete paraplegic (cauda equina) and can manage to 'stand' long enough with one hand off his walker to pull pants up. Buttons, zips, etc make life difficult. Because of b&b issues he has to go to the bathroom many times a day and if he is out somewhere (the only time he'd wear black pants) he usually transfers from wheelchair to toilet, rather than having a walker with him.
So, I'm hoping you can recommend some kind of pants which are more formal than the pull up fuzzy pants (his name for fleece, elastic-waist pants) he wears every day, but are still easy to get off and on for him.
Easy Black Pants (Men)?

You might try USA Jeans
www.wheelchairjeans.com
I buy my jeans and docker style pants there. They are made without pockets,, and with a much higher back than regular pants. Elastic waists,, wirh belt loops. They may have something you're looking for.

I don't know if this will work but i try to say why not give it a chance, I go to the Art Institute of Chicago for interior design. I know that they have a fashion design course that i know is taught at a few different schools. What i am trying to get at, is this: Most things directly related to making things easy for the para's and quads emulate things from a hospital. Not very many things are aesthetically appealing. To give someone the benefit and maybe get something for either free or an extremely good price look into a school that offers something like this. From my perspective in this school most of the fashion people just go into retail and don't actually start there own clothing lines so maybe this could be a project and an open career. Just a thought. It may or it may not work. but it could potentially be a grade and or a career.

I have used http://www.adaptationsbyadrian.com/ for my sitting pants. Another one is www.anitavee.com.
Good luck.
Good luck.
