Good place fer a nasty fall thread?

Well i took a mean one saturday....Was out all day on the wheeler wif my bro in law huntin' chukars. (West dessert)

we cleaned 'em cooked 'em then i went home, wicked tired and arms/chest achin' from the ride.

I brung home some muddy sand mixture (stuck to my truck) which when ya incorporate that wif concrete you gots a slick as hell surface.

Puttin' the ol' chair together, one wheel then spin it fer to put the othern on then..... Bam !!! Light's out......I wake up lookin' at the beutiful stars above...(Ya see i gots to sorta lean outa the truck to do this).

I catched myself wif my forehead and never got the other wheel on. It was still safe and sound in the truck....Problem #1

i tried like hell to get in the truck from the ground (i'd been out cold fer a good hour) but sumthin' was catchin' my right leg. To dark to see what had me stuck....Problem #2

the keys you see was also in said truck (on the seat) out of my grasp so draggin' myself into the house wasn't an option....Problem #3

all my strenght was gone, my chair had one wheel, no cushion, dark, and cold cold cold i was, also very loopy from the ol' melon slammin' on the ground.

So at the 1:30 a.M. Mark i called my sister to come to the rescue.......Long story short i was inside wif in the hour of the call.....Yep she laughed like hell.

8 Years i been in and out of that truck, fell out lots of times......But never on my face.

I got me a pretty cool cut/mash mark on my forehead what looks like a solid red colored jelly fish wif sand mashed in it....Which i have to explain to everyone that makes eye contact wif me.

I cut this short fer so i wouldn't bore noone.......Want more just ask. I gots lots of other fall stories too.

Anyway.....You gots any cool fall stories to share?

Caps were a pain to read but was ok for me too. Falling is part of life for an incomplete that can waddle.

Now the real question is why do you like to type in all caps?
I know I will always have a seat:)

I like all caps because that's how i learned to write, my dad taught me and he wrote and typed in all caps, and yes he did get the odd rash of rubbish fer doin' so (kinda tipin' my hat to the old man). He told me "learnin' cursive or conformin' to the masses ain't gonna keep you off the streets you gotta stand out).

i write in all caps for everything, work, birfday cards, paintings, name it. My job i have now (15+ years) i filled out the application in all caps and over 30 people I got the job. see i stood out (another tip from my pops).

There be other reasons but again all about my dad. And i can read it better.

Since Simon took the trouble to DEcapitalize the original,, I am not sure how to respond to the majority of posts,,,, so,,, in regard to the first,,,, WHOA,,, DUDE,,,, so far, I haven't taken a dive from any of my vehicles,, and truth be told,, I don't look forward to that happening.

I have, however,, found myself in my chair,, sliding down a slope,, on wet grass,, toward an abrupt bank a couple feet above a paved road. I thought I could get the thing stopped,,, for the first twenty feet or so,, but finally decided that that wasn't going to happen,, and dove ( actually kind of a sliding fall) out of the chair. I managed to keep a grip on the chair,, so it didn't hit the road,, and never having mastered the arcane art of remounting,, I ended up butt sliding to the edge of the bank and using that additional height to let me get back in the saddle.

No big bumps or bruises,, but an interesting ride, none the less.

As for the caps, Razz,,, On screen, they do feel like someone is screaming. In real life,, I don't use cursive, either. I find I can print faster,, and more legibly . Good penmanship has never been something I was gifted with.

You held on to yer chair!?!? Wow i'da lost it and went sailin' to the pavement, good thinkin' or reactin'.

I have done a test to see how come my leg got caught so next time i'll be in the truck in no time.

I really don't get the screamin' wif the all-caps. I been on a paint site fer years and nobody never said nuffin to me.

I guess if you gots a sentance goin' and ya put in a all caps word that would make a feller think it's yellin' but hell i don't care. They just be words eh?

But rules is rules kinda like Nazi Germany was...,till my grandpa went over there and tore 'em up.

Thanks fer the story EDLEE. Hehe,

I had a flip over once that was pretty funny.

It was approaching Mother's Day 2005 so I got this brilliant idea to surprise my chocolate loving mother with a nice breakfast.

Went to the store; to get some donuts from their bakery....the 13 (baker's dozen) donuts of my mother's favorite flavors, & some 1/2 gallon jugs of chocolate milk & O.J.. The 1/2 gallon jugs were in my backpack, the box of donuts was on my lap & I rolled on out of the store all proud of myself for coming up with a SPECIAL something for Mother's Day. Got across the 2 streets no problem....got about 50ft from the bus-stop....PROBLEM! The same lip which I had so easily wheelied over to get to the store....yeah I don't know if it was the swinging of the 2 1/2 gallon liquid containers in my backpack or what.... Up & over I go! Cross bar slams/squishes the gallon of refrigerated liquid UP MY BACK (got sandwiched between the concrete & my cross-bar). And the donuts? They somehow went flying off my lap; the box opened up & as I'm looking up at sky laying on my back I now see those 13 donuts mid-air....which then rain back down on me, showering me with chocolate icing & jellied apple filling. Luckily for me a nice couple saw it happened & stopped to help & thankfully had a roll of paper towels in their trunk. So -$10 but I got one heck of a story & a Mother's Day I'll NEVER FORGET.

I got out of bed for a while and ate watched a little bit of TV, and went to the bathroom, and bent to flush the toilet, and had some sort of horrible spasm and fell! I knew when I hit the floor that I was in big trouble cause I was in a cluster f*@k between my manual and my electric chair and toilet with the wall there too, so I was STUCK! I tried to get up but was tangled and sore with bad spasms! I knew I was in a terrible place so I layed there exhausted thinking what I was gonna do. I had no choice but to pull the cord on the wall (Buzzer) after wiggling for an hour to get the Swiffer Sweeper broom to turn off the buzzer. My neighbor came to the door and I told him to call my mother cause she had a key, so I was screaming to give him the number and this guy had some sort of disability where he walks and talks like he's drunk. He's on the phone with my mother asking her the stupid f*@king question do you have a son named (My name) and does he live at (My address) and he is asking this question over and over and over and I'm thinking WTF, so I just scream just tell her to come with the key cause I fell (That would be funny if it didn't happen to me) and I tell him not to call the ambulance or the cops cause I don't want to pay the bill, so I give him the number to my friend so he can help come pick me up (I'm thinking my friend will say it's a prank call) so I say tell him I fell and it's not a joke to call my mother, AND HE SCREWS THAT UP AT FIRST TOO (WTF) so everyone finally shows up and my mother opens the door and FREAKS and I'm like shit just RELAX DAMN!

I get them to put me in the chair, and I'm scratched up all over and sweaty as hell. Then I have to hear both of my friends saying you should have went to the hospital yesterday and I'm thinking I hear that at home on the damn Internet and I'm tired of it, so I get into an argument and I apologized cause I know they just care, but that wasn't what I wanted to hear at that moment. I had to post cause I thought about how funny it was.

I am WRECKED now, but I'm thankful cause it could have been bad. I almost fell too many times to count these past couple days and I thought in my mind it's probly gonna happen, BUT DAMN NOT IN THE WORST PLACE!

Well ... I am happy to say I have not fallen (yet). Sorry I don't have a story to share. But Oh My GS8, that was comical. I'm glad you decided to share your experience!

Hmm, the caps. I understand the etiquette and the rules that stand for this site. I personally have no problems with all caps.

First time I fell was after about 8 months in the hopical waiting for space to open up in rehab. Every day I went down to the physio department and work on whatever (They tried started me on 2lbs weights. Wasn't working, so I started with 10s). I still didn't have my own chair and the chair I was using was really tippy, especially when you tried going faster. Well 1 day in physio I was working on wheelies, so the anti-tippers came off and never got back on. On my way back to my room I went across infrount of the nurses station, and just as I got infrount of it, The tippy chair's frount end went up, then kept going. *THUNK!* I was on the ground. What I remember most was Alison's (one of the nurses) voice when I was about half way over, "Oh Shit!"

I've fallen out of my chair plenty when drunk. :drunk: I sometimes forget to strap myself in, and when rolling uncontrollably fast and hit a bump or door jam or any corner of the wall, I go flying. I've fallen out of my chair when I dance as well but that's when I'm drunk too. lol

I LIKE TO HAVE FUN AND DRINK! LOL  :drunk:

Sumthin' to do wif one arm pushin' while the otherns pullin' then when ya look down then up you be head long into a buildin' that jumped in front of ya.
