Im not really sure if this helps or not... but my butt feels like that 24/7. atfirst they thought it was because I was getting a sore, but no sore came so they just declared it as nerve pain. yay. I use a Ride Forward cushion. I really like it. It's a honeycomb style with a permanent dump in the back, this makes it to where most of the pressure is one you thighs instead of your butt. I havent had any issues with sore since I go it. Jay extreme I ended up with a sore on my tail bone, my butt doesnt like gel cushions it seems lol

I had a Jay Extreme for about 9 months but wanted to change as I felt all at sea on that gel pad. I now have been using a Jay Easy for about 16 months and like it so much better. Still has the gel but it's smaller and the foam base is more contoured and holds my thighs in a much better posture.
I had a period of the "but on fire" feelings and I was really worried that there was problems in there but my cheeks are blemish free. It coincided with a change in sensation in my feet from nice warm sand sensations to no skin and burning broken glass all over them. I'm now taking prebabilyn (Lyrica) and it has mostly eliminated the nasty sensations. They still still reappear late in the day and upping the dosage would probably cover it but I like to try and keep the dose low and it's a good indicator of possible problems so I don't want to completely eliminate them.

Hopefully this helps as we seem to have been in a very similar place.

Impossible only describes a problem that needs viewed from a different perspective

the j2 deep contour is the only one that works for me... and i've tried them all.. these do crush down in the foam support areas over the months, which will cause the tailbone to bottom out. so, you will need to replace.... i buy a new one every 100 uses or so. i'm a c5 quad, and can't do ANY pressure releases, yet this system has worked for years..
