ROM.....trace the alphabet with your big toe. While seated toe up/toe down to flex calves. I also do calf raises on stairs holding on to the railings.
Quadriceps....hold on to furniture or a secure bar and do squats. Concentrate on form. Lining toes up with knees...bring knees toward each other as you lower.
Hips....lie flat and have someone raise your straightened leg as you resist. If no one is around do seated head to knees leg stretches.
Stretching and balance are very important.
Has your therapist given you a routine?
Tai Chi is beneficial I have heard.
I have worked with Wii balance games...it does help...plus the laughter helps too.
I walk with a cane. Some days are chair days based on what silly thing I've done the day before etc...
