Hi all,

I have just joined Apparelyzed today and it's great what you've got going on here, I will definately be putting a link to Apparelyzed on my website today!
I'm putting a post on here about the non-profit social enterprise Spokz People I run in the UK as I hope we can be of use to Apparelyzed members too.

My partner has a C3/4 SCI and we started Spokz People (pronounced Spokes) because there is a lack of emotional support for people with physical disabilities, including SCI, in the UK. All our staff have a disability or have disability knowledge and experience.

We have a free online forum and helpline for sex and intimacy questions which are answered by qualified counsellors and sex therapists, so you may want to submit something there alongside getting peer support here.

We also offer online and telephone counselling Worldwide (excl. USA and Canada because of their legislation) and face-to-face counselling and therapy/support groups in the UK (Birmingham and Staffordshire). These services are low-cost for those on a low income.

If you would like more information, please visit www.spokzpeople.org.uk or email me at mel@spokzpeople.org.uk.

Hear from you soon,

Mel, Director @ Spokz People
