I've been using/testing Google's Chrome Browser since it's early public beta days (on windows xp and windows servers, vista and now win7) IMHO it is the fastest, most stable, most secure browser available...it's usability, design, minimal screen usage are amazing. It's flaws, it's still a new born and extensions are not only slow in developing, but dizzying to develop as Google keeps enhancing the browser, it's capabilities (user and developer), at a blistering pace.

Android 4 "Ice Cream Sandwich" is here, and looks quite nice...should be fun to use and develop for...on phones, ereaders, tablets, etc! All cool stuff to help us be even more productive, connected...

However, Google isn't sitting still, Google TV is coming, as is browser based Arcade style gaming...why is this exciting, no not the entertainment aspects (remember I'm a proud/obsessed techno geek) well okay I do pay a game or two, watch a few movies, but my excitement is for the ever expanding graphics capabilities...it isn't easy to program for 3D in a browser, high end dedicated graphics workstations, high end PCs/Macs are mostly used, but one day it will be all browser based; probably cloud based also :)

For those interested in design/development/programming, put your Google tools and new languages/frameworks, Java and JavaScript, CSS, HTML(5) hats on ASAP...as for everyone else enjoy the ride :H2kOther (26):

Here's a sample of Chrome's Arcade style gaming...Google demonstrated it this week.

!

PS. Anyone remember Dick Tracy and his near do-everything wrist watch, well that's where were headed, once the hardware, browsers/thin clients get powerful enough, all forms of spoken, written, visual communications will be within instant reach...perhaps we'll use the technology wisely, I hope so...we still need to smell the real roses, smile, hug, kiss, love; not just emoticon :tease: each other!

Big fan of Chrome too .. been using it since it was first released in Beta too and it's streets ahead of the competition in speed and clean looks. Just a shame Google is starting to look like Microsofts twin ......

Just installed it on Ubuntu to see what it's like. It's quick.

I like that it automagically picked up all my Firefox bookmarks, home page etc.

I don't have the computer with xp anymore and my vista computers motherboard broke. My desktop has xp but I don't use it anymore since I spend most of my time in bed. I will try it on win7 and give you a report. It never hurts to try I suppose.
