There have been many threads about this, with several members who have had it done.
Good and bad points with it from what I remember - go and have a read and maybe ask more questions from the people who have posted.
Any significant medical issue why you are thinking about having it done? Poo has to come out one way or another!
Good luck

I had lumbar fusion (L5-L2) and woke up 3 months later (died several times) unable to walk and an ostomy. I didn't have a choice about it and was confused but dealt with it. I find that everything I eat matters and now, 6 months later, I have a prolapse stoma and will have it moved when I go in next month for a urostomy. Having never experienced being in a chair before, I find it easier than learning to transfer in the bathroom. One of my problems is the bad that I use and a problem with movement while in the chair.

Hi Astack23,
My husband had one a couple of months ago due to concerns about bleeding, he had put it off for way too long as he had heard all sorts of horror stories about the prep, however it turned out it was nothing to worry about, all went smoothly and results were good, obviously the body wasn't designed for the use of anema's for 20 odd years so this can and has caused minor problems, but the relief far outwayed the stress...
