My Boyfriend (C4) and I are looking for a honeymoon and other holidays in the mean time. We have been to New York, Ibiza, Alicante, Rimini (Italy), Tenerife, Paris, Dublin and around the UK. Would like to go places with accessible taxis as we are unable to transfer or central locations. Any information would be greatly appreciated and if you would like any information about where we have been please ask. Weekend breaks are usually more convenient but open to suggestions. We live in Yorkshire, UK.

San Diego California has quite a few perks; great weather 90% of the time, public transportation is fully equipped for us, Mission beach has chairs that are made FOR the beach (you leave yours/his with the lifeguards & they lend you a manual or electric beach chair for the day free of charge), there are quite a few sight seeing spots including Sea World & the San Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park. Also we're driving distance or flying distance from L.A. which has a # of BIG theme parks....so you could even hit both San Diego AND Los Angeles for a nice loooong getaway.

I too am C4 complete and we have an accessible villa in the Algarve, Portugal. Have lived here 10 years and run the business this long too, we offer accessible transfers from Faro (included) and loan of an adapted Berlingo during your stay as well as an electric height adjustable bed with memory foam pressure reliving mattress, indoor electric hoist, 4 types/sizes of shower chairs and pool hoist with seat or sling attachment options (I can't use a seat as no upper body balance, assume your BF is the same, so sling is option I use). I'm sorry I'm not much help with your question but I noticed you're from Yorshire...My family are thinking about heading there for a week (from Cornwall) and was just wondering if you could recommend anywhere to stay/anything to do? There are six of us including my parents...
We havn't been away as a family since I got paralyzed so I said I'd do a bit of research!

It would depend what you were looking for. Leeds is very good for shopping and access. York is lovely but some places aren't accessible because of building regs. Let me know what you were thinking of and I will have a think!x
