I hope to get in some traveling this year and attempt a flight to the coast (1 1/2 hours).I am looking for a portable commode that can pack into a suitcase and I heard a rumor that there is one. I have seen some semi-portable units on the internet but it's hard to see how well built they are. Anyone have a specific brand they like or recommend? I am just starting my search for travel tips.

I get the shits with taking a commode away, just another thing to lug around.......

I've just made a loo seat that's raised to let me to do the business and is small and light. Cushion + plywood + hi dens foam.
Failure is not falling down.
Failure is not getting back up.

Or , maybe,, take a picture and post it here. I'd like to take a look at what you've done,, as I feel the same as you about lugging more stuff through airports.

I like your product, Goldie,, but I'm looking for something a lot smaller. Ideally,, something inflatable that I could put in my carry on bag. I've seen some on here,, but don't know where to find them. I have thought about making my own, from that high density foam,, but don't know if it would be stable enough without a lot of plywood,,, or how to cover the thing so it would be,,,, sanitary.

Ed, are you thinking about this from Guido's site? http://www.disabledg...ts/P100009.aspx
I know it isn't a commode, but you mentioning inflatable confused me.

Yep,, that's the one GB. Just trying to justify $126 on something I'm not sure will work for me. I'm working myself up for it,, just not there yet.
