I live in Texas, and was wondering if anyone new what kind of help I could get to live on my own. I live on social security right now. It really isn't enough to pay rent, utilities, and food. So I was wondering what kind of benefits I could get to help me. Cause I am going to college and it cost alot of money in gas to go every week. I would like to move closer to the college. So if anyone could help me I would be greatful thanks.

Did you check your local area for housing that's for the disabled, I live in a beautiful complex in my hometown and it has everything adjusted to suit the needs of people in chairs, one, two, three bedrooms. If happen to find any, I'd say there is a 100% chance that the waiting list is several years long, my complex temporarily quit accepting applications cause they had a five year waiting list. The rent is based on your income, and includes water and the bug spray guy.

If you happen to find a complex that fits your needs and the waiting list is several years long, PM me and I will give you info on ways to bypass the waiting list, but we will keep that between you and I ;)

get a job and off social security. problem solved. you can get a part time and still collect social security if you really cant find a good job just make sure you call them and ask how much you can make, theyll give you a 900 limit or omething, that should cover it.
