I'm trying to develop a better high quad shooting system. Bob Bowen's SR77 has a long history but the joy stick control is only one speed and the motors are noisy. The Beadaptive system has variable speed but needs an assistant to operate it. It is also bulky and awkward.
We have used some linear actuators(off wheelchairs) with a variable speed chin controlled joy stick. The joy stick is on lock line and can be moved to a position for hand control for lower quads. The trigger is on a sip tube to a solenoid. The picture shows a .22 but we are building another mount with a 30-06.
The gun mount is quiet and accurately controllable. We have also built a chair mount that easily bolts to most power chairs. It has a receiver similar to a trailer hitch that makes the mount easy to slide in place or remove. The mount is also good for a lap tray or fishing rod.
There is a video of the shooting system on my Facebook page. I'm looking for feedback on how to optimize this.
