Hi,

Does anyone have a Sky+ remote code to work a Yamaha DSP-AX761 surround sound amplifier?

So far I've tried the following codes without success.

1304
0204
0214
0171
0382
1977
0876

I managed to get my remote working 5 years ago, but I can't remember the code. The remote had a problem with one of the buttons, so I've just bought a new remote, but so far, I've not had any success with getting the Sky+ remote to work my Yamaha DSP-AX761 amp.

It'd be really handy to only have the Sky+ remote to work the TV, Sky+ box and Amplifier again.

Many thanks

Simon.

Are you doing it right? Because sometimes if the lights don't "blink/flash" on the remote and doing it all in the right order, Tv eg:
-Press Tv
-Press and hold Select and Red button
-Put in code
-Press off button
-press Tv Guide (some how tv comes back on lol)
-then press select if worked.

I've heard other ways of doing it too as for amps i've posted a link. I'm sure you've done as above or you wouldn't of posted.
Just found this My link And shows a different way than installing a TV style code, maybe that's why?

Anyway good luck Simon and hopefully have that Amplifier blasting!

EDIT!! hmmm think that link failed, hopefully this will show, http://sky.xorro.co....amp_remote.html

Well, that took a bit of faffing about, but we got there in the end!

My old remote was a revision 8 remote, and my new remote is a revision 9.

So, I thought the issue was with the revisions, but I don't think so.

I ended up walking Karen through how to take the old remote to bits, and clean the pads, she then took the new rubber pads out the revision 9 remote, and put them in the revision 8 case.

All the buttons work.

So, now I programmed the revision 8 again. Press and hold down the Select and the 0 (zero) buttons on the Sky+ RCU until the LED blinks twice. Input the 4 digit number from the Sky+ RCU direct set code list. The LED should flash twice to confirm that the code was entered correctly.

At this point, only the up and down navigation buttons controlled the volume, not the actual volume buttons.

So, Press TV Key

Hold down select and press 1 until the remote's LED flashes twice (if it only flashes once or remains on steady I'm afraid your remote does not support this feature).

Press Sky+, now the volume buttons control the volume on the amplifier.

Sorted!

I'm waiting for the revision 9 remote to be put back together to see if the issue was not holding down select and 1 after inputting the codes.

Simon. :)

For future reference, follow the procedure in the attached PDF.

This works for the Sky+ revision 9 remote as well as the revision 8 remote.

The code I used was 1304.

Complete the FULL procedure before trying the volume button.

Glad you managed to do it in the end and not stuck with the navigation buttons controlling the volume because that would be tricky if the amp is on and trying to scroll through things on Sky.

Nightmare over ha ha, happy viewing and enjoy the sound! Oh, just one thing... Make sure your batteries don't run out! You don't want to be doing it all over again :)
