I couldnt do transfers due to my spasms for the first year, soi had already built up some strength from pushing my chair by the time started. so from there i went twice a week for two months on to firm surfaces, two weeks of someone just watching and then i was good. if someone is there i definitly wont mind if they help with the legs though. After the two weeks i was nervous but started doing it alone and just built up confidence from then.
