Hi I am the Mother and Primary Carer of my daughter, she is a C5/C6 Quad. She is the most beautiful person inside and out and her presence draws people towards her.
At 23 she is happily married, to a man that adores her too.
We are best friends and laugh every day at the most stupidest things, we laugh at her disability too as sometimes it's better to laugh than cry.
I think she is the bravest person I know, as most days she is in lots of pain. I love being around her, and I am so lucky that I still have her after such a horrible accident.
I would like to hear from other family carers.

Hi Wendy,
i just wanted to say that it's so wonderful that you and your daughter have such a close relationship and you dont seem to treat caring for her as an inconvenience or burden...not all of us are that lucky!

I could'nt help but notice that no one has replied to your post yet, so i thought maybe you would be better off going to the spouse & carers section instead??
