Hi all

Im travelling to Euro 2012 and will be travelling around Poland by train Lodz - Poznan - Torun - Gdansk. I've heard that the trains are not wheelchair accessible. The websites aren't great so was wondering if anyone has 1st hand experience?? Worryingly also hear that Torun's pubs don't have disabled toilets

Grateful for any help

I'm afraid you will be disappointed with the accessibility in Poland. I know some bus lines and some train lines are accessible bot most of them arent. There is a lot of new infrastructure that was built recently just for Euro so for the most part you should be fine. When it comes to pubs you will just have to find one that is accessible. There is plenty to chose from and I'm sure there are some that have accessible toilets.

Hi L&H

Thanks for the reply, I think the pubs in the bigger cities like Poznan and gdansk are fine but the pubs in Torun are all in cellars, the tourist info centre told me that there are 2 public toilets around the Market square that have disabled access but it's not ideal. More concerned about the train situation, their websites aren't great
