I put on my boots to do some chores outside. After getting my "honey dews" completed, I went back inside and took off my boots. To my amazement, I tore my big toe in half. Apparently when I was stomping on my boot to get my foot into it, I had folded the big tow under itself at 180 degrees. What's kinda funny is that while I was doing my chores, I was amazed how well I was walking! I took myself to the local clinic and had x-rays and got my toe all stitched-up. Compound fracture. I told the doctor not to waste her time in numbing my toe, but later asked for 7.5 mg of Lortab for the pain. She caught on. "You can't feel any pain!" I congratulated her on quick thinking...

So next time (??) wince dramatically when they give you a shot to numb it...scream with every stitch and yell "it's not numb yet!!" , THEN ask for the lortab. :) Mend well and speedily

Well wishes for a speedy recovery! Its a good thing you can't feel, it looks ouchy! Made me wince bc of hearing about it not bc of other looks of it, lol.

Ewwwwwe! I wish I hadn't seen that!

Reminds me of the time I wore my tennis shoes all day & upon removing them found a sock stuffed in the end. Surprisingly no blood, just curled toes.

Hope you heal up soon!

That has happened to me more than once. It occurred with socks, my little boy's toys, wrappers, etc.

My favorite incident was when I had lost my watch. After coming home from a long day at work, I removed my shoes and viola! My watch! Good thing it was a Timex!!
