I watched her news story in the link; I'm thinking she's legit. But the story was odd, it left a lot of questions remaining. And, not saying anything to or about this girl personally, but i HATE those kind of news stories; the ones that feature some person who happened to return to walking after SCI and they attribute the walking ENTIRELY on the "dedication, faith, and hard work" of the person who "never gave up". As if will power and spiritual faith have anything to do with somehow re-attaching a severed spinal cord. Something tells me this girl didn't have one of those.

Before this post gets out of hand, recovery from initial paralysis does happen, especially where the paralysis is due to spinal shock or swelling.

As for the images, the modeling ones have been removed, as there was a question over their appropriateness.

Not everyone who joins this forum is a complete or incomplete para or quad. Some people have been fortunate to make an almost full recovery, and they shouldn't be witch hunted because of that.

Simon.

Sorry Simon if the pice broke any rules. Thank you for being educating others that yes spinal cord recovery is possible. Yes am a spinal cord injury survivor!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my year anniversary of my injury! I wish I didn't have a spinal cord injury! I could live with the night spasms. I can live with having 80 % of my left hand functioning. I can't run boy I surly wish I could run with my 5year old son. I could with the 3 inch scar on the front of my neck, I could live with having a weak bladder. With all that being said why would I fake being a spinal cord patient, it's not wanted but I refuse to let it win!

I was a complete for two weeks before I told the CNA tha I could feel her washing my back. Please don't try to take away my hard work and pain I put into getting back up! I could have just layed there and given up to depression! So yes I paid my dues! I mentor other newly injured patients not all of them have the will nor the fAith to get back up! Now what questions you have?

STILL LIKE YOUR PICS, BUT I JUST READ YOUR STORY ON YOUR PROFILE AND SORRY BUT I HAVE TO CALL BULLSHIT ON THIS ONE, YOU'RE BASICALLY SAYING YOU RECOVERED COMPLETELY IN PRACTICALLY NO TIME AT ALL AND ARE NOW FINE AGAIN. PRETTY HARD STORY TO BUY IF YOU ASK ME.
No I never claimed to be 100% my left side was more affected. I have spasm, I can't run, my bladder is weak, I can't dance in 6inch heels, I have pain and burning. No I'm not 100% but ima try to get there!
