I just found this site and read some of the recent blog entries. Worth a read :
http://www.targetfoc...aining.com/blog

Incidentally the site owner, Tim Larkin, has just been banned from entering the UK by our wonderful, caring Home Secretary. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18002220 Evidently she doesn't want our citizens to learn how best to defend themselves from attack.

Rather strange behaviour, when at the same time she is doing her damnedest to emasculate and destroy the morale of the UK police forces. She is systematically replacing experienced police officers on the streets with thugs contracted from the security guarding industry who will be easier for politicians to control and manage. If you don't think much of how the police perform now, you ain't seen nothing yet!

GB- interesting read. YOur info that the home secretary is replacing experienced policemen with contractors is very distressing. Terrible idea with terrible results, and you cannot get those experienced teams back once they are gone. Stupid.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

It's distressing all right. It probably sounds quaint over the water, but all UK , police officers of whatever rank, are "Constables" in law and have taken an oath of allegiance to the Sovereign:

“I do solemnly and sincerely declare and
affirm that I will well and truly serve the
Queen in the office of constable, with
fairness, integrity, diligence and impartiality,
upholding fundamental human rights and
according equal respect to all people; and
that I will, to the best of my power, cause
the peace to be kept and preserved and
prevent all offences against people and
property; and that while I continue to hold
the said office I will to the best of my skill
and knowledge discharge all the duties
thereof faithfully according to law.”

You will notice that there is no obligation to support government. That has been a source of irritation to various politicians for years.

Here's a link to an interesting pamphlet about our police. http://www.google.co...-peb4nk2Z2TFgCQ

Supported by Australian Disability Sport, Sobukan Martial Arts (sobukan.com.au) commences wheelchair martial art classes on Saturday 2 June at Mitcham Cultural Village.

The classes will have an in-chair and out-of-chair component. The in-chair techniques are based on a traditional form of Japanese martial art called Hakkoryu Jujutsu, which includes a great amount of seated techniques, making it ideal for people who drive wheelchairs, taxis etc. This art requires no physical strength beyond being able to sit straight and lift your arms. The out-of-chair component will involve groundfighting from judo, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) and several other martial arts.
Focus on your abilities, not on your inabilities
