while talking to my cna today the topic of finger prints came up. she informed me that when born babies have a general pattern on their fingers, but do not develop personal finger prints until they begin using their hands for various tasks.

being a c5 quad, i haven't used my finger tips in over 5 years. after comparing our hands we realized that my finger prints were a lot less defined than hers.

my question is: do any of you quads who are veterans (been in a chair much longer than i have) still have finger prints? it was interesting to see the difference in our prints after 5 years of not using my hands, but i'm curious to know if anyone has noticed the same thing.

I noticed my finger print lines getting less defined about 10 years after SCI. Now you made me look, and it's like I have No finger print lines! I'm 30 years SCI now, and wishing I didn't have them before SCI. :D

While i'm not a Quad......My finger prints is all but gone......Big problem wif the Police takin' prints fer my concealed carry permit. They thought I sanded my finger tips.

The prints on paper looked like purple eggs wif a few cracks.

Here's a Quad who was hired then dismissed from the job for not having finger prints. Then the rest of the story I'm leaving for you to see for yourself. :)

Very interesting! At times, I've noticed some of the lines in my palms seemed to have disappeared. Some are really prominent while others have faded. I've never had my palms read and wouldn't but often wondered what the faded ones meant. The more pronounced ones really show up maybe that's why the others look faded.

Without fingerprints, does this mean we can't be booked? Posted Image

I can't even turn over my hands to look at the fingerprints so I would just assume that they're still there! :girl_devil:
