That is a cool chair. I found their website (www.gennymobility.com) recently and the chair is basically a Segway converted for use by the mobility impaired (or whatever the correct term is for us disabled folks). No idea on the cost and it appears you would need some upper body control/function in order to be able to put it to good use. Sure does look like fun though.

I had a friend with a segway that did 8-10 mph and this looks to be on par with it speed wise. If they would make 1 joystick control I'd buy one ASAP. by far the best off road chair yet.

The problem is you can't buy the Genny, I've tried no response.
Nice website and pretty chair but it's basically a concept. He made a few but has never sold any.

I have been using Segways in various set-ups since my injury in 2004. It's an amazing device. You'll see many different Segway conversions on the net. Some as simple as a wood box, others like the Genny have legs to allow almost anyone to transfer.

I recently started using the Ally chair. It's pretty much the same set-up as the Genny but not as pretty. Not a big deal.
The machine is the bomb. 12 mph, smooth, mud , snow sand etc.
Let's not forget a 22 mile range at full speed and most important a near zero turning radius.

Price.
You need a generation II Segway that will cost from about 3000.00 used to 5600.00 new the another 6999.00 for the chair. That's pretty much the same as the rumored price of the Genny.
Not cheap but not outrageous compared to other heavy duty chairs..

That looks ace, those wheels will rip up most everyday obstacles. I'd love one for beach days. I bet that company will do well.

if it is really 7000.00 just for the chair mod it is insane and that guy should be slaped silly for being that greedy.........there is no way a simple chair mount should cost more then the segway it sits on. its a very cool idea but nothing about it is even remotly worth 7k its nothing more then a few brackets with a seat pan and back rest with cheap tube arm rests and a lever mounted to control the turning. now 1800-2000 would be good and he would still make
