Just an update: We had a great day and are planning a wheelchair volleyball game for February's meeting. This is big stuff in our small town!

We have been fortunate to be part of a support group from day one and find the information gleaned from other sci folks invaluable. Last summer we all met at a baseball game. Our group fluctuates between 5 to 8 sci's w/ added family/caregivers. How many showed for you? We are also in the process of relocating and if there is not a group already I would sure love to start one as I will miss this great group of friends.

Tetra - please come on!!! I could so use your wisdom!
Alaska - We had myself and my veteran friend (and we are both in chairs) and then we had two other chair users show up. The one man with his wife (he has pretty severe MS and has lost the use of his legs and weak hands)came together and the other guy (who has spina bifida and his wife does too) came but his wife was not able to come. She has a trache and it was cold and rainy out and she catches pneumonia easily. Also, one other girl who was supposed to come had a rough morning because of the rain and wasn't able to come.
But...next month everyone should be there and that will give us 6 chair users and then the families. So, I think that is a pretty great start!

Tetra - you wouldn't annoy me because I already love you!! And....if you are ugly (which I am sure you are not) then you can just join the crowd! I wouldn't win any beauty awards that's for sure!!
(But I'm okay with that - I love me too!)
Q - I'm proud of you!
Aaron - where are you in PA? My sister lives in PA - it would be cool to meet!!
