Hi everybody. I will soon be moving to Phoenix Arizona and would very much like to know if there are any centers, hospitals, doctors that specialize in SCI. I am now in Seattle and there is an important center here but I can't stand the cold weather and have to get out of here.

You also can call the Reeves foundation which is in phx and they can do referrals. They also have support groups and a new great gym which I believe is called abil. They have lots of resources in phx unlike way more south where I am.
One more thing, get on the email list for the reeves foundation because they send all kinds of events and sport emails. I wish I could go to some but it is to far.

I know I will always have a seat:)

abil is different than the reeves foundation. st joesph and banner care for sci's. there are some great doctors here in arizona. I just did an insurance change and was given a family doctor. and he's really up to speed and what he doesn't know he'll send you to a specialist. witch is great. because my last insurance compony and their doctors were not up to speed on anything. seating clinics are up to speed in phoenix too. doctors that specialize in sci's are hard to come by but there are ones that will take care of you with no hassles.

thanks for your replies. I got a primary dr at St Josephs and made an appt with a physiatrist specializing in sci, gives botox and is affiliated with St. Josephs. i checked the Mayo Clinic but there charges are more than medicare fees altho I have a supp insurance I would have out of pocket expenses there.
