Last week my Jay2 cushion finally ruptured. Over the past year or so I have purchased 3 Jay2 cushions but unfortunately when I sit on them I am unable to urinate.
On Tuesday after a bowel morning I started sweating while I was in bed, I then got put in my wheelchair on one of the Jay2 cushions I purchased and again I couldn't urinate and I continued to sweat profusely. I just ended up going to bed early, same thing happened on the Wednesday.
On Thursday I had plans to go to the horse races so I had my father insert a catheter for the day and things were allot better as I only sweated a little.
I had the catheter taken out Thursday night when I went to bed and I urinated about a liter overnight on my own.
The following day I got up in my chair and again I started sweating so I went to bed early again.
On Saturday I had another catheter put in because I was sick of feeling the way I was and having to go to bed early really got me upset.
I started sweating again however the sweating is not happening due to not being able to urinate because I had a catheter in, the sweating happened because my body is feeling pain some where. I thought I would try taking a 5mg Valium and after a 45 minutes to a hour or so the swearing stopped, I still have the catheter in as I'm scared to have it taken out.
Today I also started sweating after getting up in my chair, so again I thought I would try another Valium and again after a hour or so, the sweating stopped.
Has anyone felt anything like this when switching from one cushion to another?
Also any idea why the sweating stops after I take the Valium?
I also wanted to mention that over the past 6 to 12 months or so I have been trying many other cushions such as these:
(1) Jay (The one with the sausages/fingers in the front, which are discontinued now)
(2) Recline
(3) Jay3
(4) Jay Active
(5) Jay2 Deep Contour
(6) Jay Easy
(7) Roho
Unfortunately all the above cushions have the same effect, they do not allow me to urinate. Any advise would be EXTREMELY appreciated.
Regards
Dean
