Hi guys let me once again share one of my experiences with you. My injury happened in 1989 on 4th dec. I remained bed laiden for six months or there about. I remember one time the doctor came to me and massaged my stomach. I dont know what he did but my legs just straightened up. Well to this day the legs still behave like that but l recall the doc saying something like. "take this boy to school, one day he will walk! " that statement has always remained hidden in my heart like a treasure. My mum and l had high hopes in those first day that l could run again. At least the doctors said the nerves could grow again! One thing they succeeded in was giving me hope, which in turn drove me into action. Now look at me! The more l learn about SCI the more desperate l see my life. I wonder how l came this far. I wish l had never grown up. As a young person all you needed was to lie to me to inspire me! Now how can you convince me that one day l will work! The doctor must have lied to me and rightly so!
Mmmmmh Doctor Lied!

OK so maybe his hopes were a bit too high. But this is no reason to allow the rest of your life to be tainted. We can CHOOSE to look at any given circumstances as being "glass 1/2 full" OR "glass 1/2 empty"...how much we have in our glass is not in our control but how we view what we DO HAVE on the other hand IS in OUR CONTROL.

Hope is life. Where there is hope there is life and where there is life there is hope........try to say M without your lips touching.
