Hey everyone, I am looking to move my girlfriend up here from North Carolina and need to find out how New Jersey works as far as disability and home aides. She is a c6 quad and needs an aide part time. She does work full time and our income will be more that what is the max for medicaid. I am new to looking into all this but would love to get some help trying to figure out who I need to contact or websites I need to go to. Any help would be great, I am in north jersey if that helps at all. Thanks

Hi I live right across the north Jersey border in NY, what town are you moving to, I can ask our aides if their agency covers there.

the big question would be if they would be paid for without having medicaid. who pays for your home health aide?

ok that is the county next to where I live, I will double check but I believe the agency does take medicaide

Thank u very much, medicaide pays it now but our income together wouldn't qualify in nj but I am new to all this so not sure who to contact either

perhaps since you're not married she wouldn'
t have to include your income and could still qualify for medicaid.
