If it means anything - this is my 10,000th post to the forum (discounting those that were in threads that have been deleted).

Those that have got used to my posts will know that the majority of them are pure rubbish, so you new members, please don't get the impression that because I have posted a lot, I know a lot about SCI. In truth, I know next to nothing about it. Although my symptoms date back 10 years I have not yet had a formal diagnosis other than "stenosis", which is simply medic-speak for "a narrowing".

I want to use this post to say "Hello", if I have not already done so, to the quite large number of members who have joined recently. You will probably have already realized the forum is a wonderful place to find information, get support and advice, and hopefully the occasional chuckle.

As there are members from all over the planet, it's nice to know where a poster is living, so would you please record your country of residence on your profile page. Better still, write a few lines in the "About Me" section of your home page. If you don't know how to do that, just click on your name (top right of the screen), click "My Profile", and then click on "About Me" (near the centre of the screen to the right of your photo).

By doing this you will ensure that when you post a question, responders will often have a better idea of how to answer. More importantly, in my view, it removes some of the anonymity of the forum and makes communication easier if you know a little about the other person.

If you haven't already done so, why not use this thread to say "Hello" and introduce yourself to the other members.

Dancin' they should confiscate your computer for a week for posting that 'fat guy' pic. I just can't get it out of my mind, nor can I stop myself from going back and having another peek at it. :D

Thank god, Johnny.

Geoff, I know you're a man who hates accolades, you've told me as much already, and that the last thing you'd want is for this to turn into an homage dedicated to you, but you must know by now that to many here you're 'the man.' And that's not because of your amazing number of posts, which obviously stem from an incurable habit of loquacity, it's because of the kind of person that you are. You're a good one, old man, so don't keep us waiting too long on that twenty-thousandth post.
