This morning when I woke up and was going to move onto my wheelchair I started feeling light headed and nausau. When I lie back down I feel better. As soon as I try to sit straight up the nausau and light headed happens again. This happens every once in a while and sometimes last a few hours and sometimes all day. Does this ever happen to anyone else? I don't have a clue why or what is causing it either.

i do get that every morning but it passes within the hour, never suffered through a full day of it. Mine is because of orthostatic hypotension. I would suggest checking your blood pressure when that happens, after you've created a baseline of normal BPs.

Low Blood Pressure can cause both light headedness and nausea. My doctors get concerned that my blood pressure is usually only 90 over 60. If I reach 120 over 80 it's almost like early AD for me. They're concern is from not being able to give me meds a couple of times for spasms cause they lower blood pressure. My BP has been 90 over 60 my whole SCI life.
Every time I sit up too fast, especially on an empty stomach I almost pass out, an on occasion get nauseous !

Makes sense that it could be low blood pressure. I go to my sci doctor in May and I am going to bring this up to him. Thanks for your input!
