I've been accepted into 5 different school, now I just need to figure out where I want to live. I'm going share a apartment with my girlfriend Zoe, but that's as far as I have gotten to making a decision.
I won't try and lie about the fact I'm very nervous to leave home. I've worked as hard as possible to get as independent as I could, I'm now 100% there. I should have chose my schools after looking in to the most accessible areas, I just chose places on the schools I liked and places I wanted to live.
My schools are: New York University, Florida State University, UCLA, Arizona State, and University of Mississippi.
I'd be happy to hear any and all feedback on the most accessible areas to live in, and past college experiences.

congratulations on being accepted to so many schools! i'm in the middle of this very thing. my daughter is a senior this year. in order for you to make an informed choice you really need to visit the schools and then decide. when visiting you can decide if you like the setup and if you like the area.
you aren't going to know intil you put in the leg work what the place is like. i went to usf and at the time i was still able bodied. but i happened to live on the floor where the disabled dorms were. this school was faily modern very accessible.
my daughter is a distance runner and we talked to the coaches at all the colleges we visited. my daughter was invited up to west point by the coach and she got to shadow another plebe who was also a runner and see what the ins and out of the college. she also did a similar trip to western carolina university. she loves both schools and they couldn't be more different. but she knows what to expect and has met some of the people she'd be hanging out with for the next four years. without these visits she wouldn't have a clue on where to go.
we visited the usma, clemson, unf, uf, fsu, ucf, applician state and wcu. my daughter has been to accepted to all her schools except were still waiting on west point. if they take her she's going if not she has a schlorship to wcu. which is in the north carolina mountains. it has tons of running trails and the coach is awesome.
if driving all over the country seems overwhelming you need to decide if you really want to be several days drive from home. you may want to stay in california or arizona for these reasons.

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

Congratulations on being accepted to 5 different schools and on being independent! My Niece attends NYU, going for a PHD in English eventually.
If Zoe is going to College also, I sure Hope you go to the same one or someone is going to have a long commute to school.
The Nerves will pass. We all get them when embarking on a new adventure or something. You'll be fine!

We're leaving this Saturday to go look at Arizona State and UCLA. We have all of next week off school, gives us plenty of time to do all the driving, and explore the area.
We're pretty set on those 2 schools. After next weeks we should know for sure.
Wish us luck on our road trip.

Without going to California to see UCLA we have chose to attend Arizona State University.
We got to Arizona Saturday night, spent all Day Sunday exploring, on Monday we took a tour of the school and loved it, we're both going to study for our Bachelors of Arts in Education Degree in Early Childhood Special Education.
We found a accessible apartment only a block from school, we were able to reserve it for when we want to move in July. It's a nice 1 bedroom place, with a pool.
We're going to head back to Utah tommorrow, happy from a very nice trip. We're really looking forward to calling Arizona home for the next few years.
