I'm 6'4, 150llbs and very boney. I have been injured less than a year, and have had 3 pressure sores on roho cushions and doing pressure reliefs periodically. It doesnt help my case thatI'm in a loaner that doesn't fit me but I was wondering what type cushions you have had experience with or have heard are good?...Especially for boney people.

Have you been mapped for a cushion? I use a Jay2 but I always get mapped before I get a new cushion. You can be tested for a variety of cushions to see which ones provides you with the most protection.

When I was in rehab they told me I had a skinny butt and there could be problems. They were right. The only cushion that works for me is the Ish Dish.

Hello LD,

I am 6' 3" and about 230 lbs. (104.6 kg) and a bony butt. I tried a Supracor and got 3 different sores on 3 different uses. I visited a seating specialist and she recommended a high profile Roho cushion. (If a Roho, be very sure it is not under inflated. It'll give you a pressure ulcer in about two hours.) If you have had a bad experience with cushions, the is a company in Colorado that makes custom cushions. I believe they are called Ride. After my last bout with pressure ulcers, my physical therapist is recommending my using this type.

Good luck.
