Hi

I was offered one of these, and rejected it (it would make the bed too high and I was dubious as to the pressure relieving qualities) I battled for a mattress like the ones used in the Spinal Unit (cant remember the name!) and did eventually get a double mattress that was suitable (and didnt contribute towards it - I think Social Services just wanted me off their back).

I got Pinderfields (my old spinal unit) to give me a list of mattresses they recommended, my Dad took this down to Social Services and shouted at them (he is much better than me at that type of thing). My mattress was delivered about a month later.

I suggest you contact your Spinal Unit like I did for a list of suitable mattresses
