Participants Needed: Research for Parents of Adolescents with a Traumatic SCI

Dissertation Research Study

Title: Phenomena Associated with Spinal Cord Injuries during Adolescence: Parents’ Perspectives

Participants needed: If you are the parent of an adolescent within the ages of 13 to 20 who has suffered a spinal cord injury due to an accident, and within 1-2 years post injury, you would qualify as a participant.

Description of Study: The purpose of the study is to gain an understanding of the factors associated with adjustment to a life with a spinal cord injury (SCI) as an adolescent. The information gained will benefit future researchers and clinicians in understanding what psychological programs need to be established or modified in order to assist future adolescent SCI patients in successfully adjusting to a life with an SCI.
