Here's me and my dad. That's weird uncle Biff on the left there. Ol' Biff sure was an odd one. He had a beautiful home out in the suburbs where he lived with his male secretary Bruce but he'd always spend two or three nights a week at the YMCA in town. Something about how fresh the locker room smelled and how nice all the boys were. Never could figure out why he didn't get married. If ya look real close, you'll see he's got a couple of missing fingers, that's cause he kept pokin' me in my secret place. I told him to quit doin' it or I'd bite him, but the old guy just wouldn't listen. Oh well.

Not my most flattering picture but this is me in my "new-to-me" car. (By the way, I am 6 months pregnant in this picture - this is a feeble excuse to describe why I look fat!!):)

yeah i use dual ski/bi-ski as the same, quads pretty much have to use duals, i tried to just sit in a mono on flat ground & didn't have enough arm/trunk control to stay up. i have the fall move down pat, i think i've perfected it , small sequence below.

Even for me, at T8, I need to wear a chest wrap in the mono for trunk control (and so does my friend who is T10), so, yeah, I'd imagine it'd be pretty tough for a quad to use a mono. It's awesome that you're skiing. Love the falling down pics! Falls are part of the learning curve. Come to Mammoth next season!

The last time I went, I didn't have the option of using the a chest strap. Though the mono-ski I was in had pretty decent dump. I'm a T-3 so I really had to use my outriggers to keep my balance when at a stand still, but I was golden once I started moving. I'm definitely going to have to look into the chest strap for sure. Thanks for the quick tip.

Hi there,
My names Roddey, I am 20 years old and reside in Ontario Canada. I am a born quadriplegic, but really don't even remember I am disabled most of the time Lol. I am a full time University student majoring in Economics. Some activities I enjoy doing is playing Poker semi professionally, going to the movies with friends, and now exercising in my manual chair lol. I've really enjoyed what I've read on this site so far, and I hope I'm an added asset :)!

This is the closest thing I've seen to an introduction thread, so I thought I'd stop in and say hi. I just stumbled on to this site this week. I fought (and beat) cancer last year, but the fight left me in a wheelchair. (small price to pay for still being around) I've greatly enjoyed reading the threads that I've seen so far, and it seems like I should be able to find a lot of good tips and tricks (and opinions) here!
