Just some new ones....These were taken at a friend of mine's wedding. Rare occasion to see Brad "drinking" haha. And just one I threw in of myself at the bachlorette party of the wedding we're speaking of!

Oops...I guess I'll have to make two posts then!

I keep meaning to get my husband to snap a photo of me to post as I don't have any of me since my accident, but a friend of mine just emailed these pics from last Halloween...they're a bit blurry, unfortunately. I had only been at rehab for a few weeks and didn't barely even have sensation return at that time. Further, I had absolutely no muscle function below the waist. I was just so happy that I could fit into my Roberto Cavalli's. hehe. I dressed up as 'The Urban Cowgirl', cap guns and all for our rehab Halloween party! It's been over 8 months since then and I'm now walking as my primary means of modality. You've come a long way baby! Actually, both of the gentlemen in the photos were walking long before me...and they are both C-level quads and were a huge inspiration to me. I'll try to get my husband to snap a shot of me walking with my canes so I can post something more recent soon.

Sorry, one more. It didn't fit in the first post.

CityGirl,

Just curious, did you not require any brace or such apparatus during your rehab? I had the most atrocious Jewett brace... UGH, talk about fashion faux pas!

No, no, no. I was fused T10-L3, so there was no bending. Period. Although now, I actually have way better range of motion than I ever expected. I can still arch my back into the COBRA (Hatha Yoga). There were a few people I saw in rehab who wore those braces but it was because they were from the boondocks and didn't get any surgery so the brace acted like a cast...they were also diagnosed 'completes' and never even had the chance to try and recover sensation/motor...I don't know who was playing god and decided that fate for them but I was VERY fortune to be living in a city that specializes in SCI and to have had surgery to remove the pressure from my spine and to receive treatment on the cord itself to prevent swelling which often furthers damage. Notwithstanding, I did get pretty puffy and swollen with close to 10 extra pounds of water, but it was mostly in my legs and feet.

No, you're mistaken. If I wear my hair in braids, however, I do strongly resemble 'Wheelie Nelson'. hehe.

Since I'm usually behind the camera, it took me a while to find this shot. It's one from my 25th high school reunion. I'm the one on the right. It was taken 3 years ago.

You asked for it, I took these one morning when I just got out of bed(nice hair eh?) to send to some one before a football game, expressing my view of his team playing mine. Last one looks more like I'm trying to squeeze one out.

Took ages looking through 33 pages of photos, what struck me most was the number of members who no longer post here.

I've already posted pics of me here but here's one of me and Eva my PA out for a walk in the cold weather.... Brrr! :drive:
