I have a cyst in my spinal cord due to my accident. At first it was checked every 2 yrs then after 4 yrs and it hasn't grown.

However, don't panic yet - the problems may not be related to the cyst. My left arm went totally dead once as I had slept in a strange position, and it took a while to get back to normal. I have also had other similar problems and thought it was the cyst, but after having my neck "crunched" by an Osteopath, things went back to normal. I'm now in the habit of doing regular neck exercises to stretch and click my neck.

A few years ago I lent on my lower-arm/elbow and put too much weight on it, and my arm kinda slipped and I damaged the nerve going down the back of my arm, and my hand went half-dead for a while. It came almost-back-to-normal and still hurts/twinges a bit. I added this to show you that there are more reasons than just the cyst to make your hands go funny.
